Fossils in the Ground

“Things I think I’m good at”
As a parent, I often lose faith that I'm doing a good job raising my kids, but then I'll get a sign that maybe things are going OK after all. Last night, my daughter came into my office to show me a list she made of things she thinks she's good at. Reading it nearly melted the eight inches of snow outside my window.

Maybe it's because my eyes are getting old or maybe it's because the contrast between windows on macOS keeps getting worse. Either way, I built a tiny Mac app last night that draws a border around the active window. I named it "Alan".
